The plate heat exchanger gasket is an important part of the plate heat exchanger. The plate heat exchanger gasket between the heat exchanger plates seals the inter plate channel and directs the fluids into alternate channels. Plate Heat Exchanger Gasket material varies depending on the application. There are EPDM, NBR, Vitom, HNBR, Silicone and many other special materials to be used for different working conditions. The lifetime of gasket depends on the environment (chemical types, concentrations) and temperature. And the temperature changes and pressure changes also influences the performance and lifetime of the gaskets.
